Abdullah Muflahi, the owner of the convenience store where Alton
Sterling was shot to death, is suing the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana
and its police department.
According to the suit, Muflahi accuses authorities of illegally
taking him into custody and confiscating his entire security system
without a warrant, hence he is dragging them to court.
When asked about the lawsuit by CNN, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said police
would not comment on pending litigation, as is standard procedure.
The state is investigating the controversial death of Sterling, a
black man who was fatally shot after he was pinned down by two Baton
Rouge police officers.
